GET KIDZ FIT FEST 2010 Saturday, April 24 at Fair Park |
The Dallas Area Coalition to Prevent Childhood Obesity (DACPCO) invites your family to be a part of Get Kidz Fit Fest 2010 on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. Get Kidz Fit is a free, fun-filled festival to educate and engage children and families about wellness and nutrition. This event showcases simple and fun ways families can incorporate physical activity and nutritious eating into day-to-day life. Families participate in 'hands on' healthy cooking demonstrations and try different sports and fitness activities. Last year, approximately 5,000 people, including more than 3,500 children, attended Get Kidz Fit. Ninety-seven percent of youth surveyed said they plan to continue doing some form of physical activity they participated in during the event.
